Memphis Music

There is something about growing up in the Memphis area and how it ties you to music. Memphis is a city renowned for its musical heritage, having birthed and nurtured some of the most iconic names in blues, soul, rock and roll, and hip-hop. Some of the most famous musicians from Memphis include Elvis Presley, B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Justin Timberlake, and Booker T. Jones. The city is also the birthplace of Sun Studio and Stax Records. The heritage of music runs deep in Memphis.

Gear Highlights

Here is a quick rundown of some of the gear that I use.

Ovation Double Neck

With its specially designed Super-Shallow composite body-a favorite of stage performers-Ovation's Celebrity double neck combines 6- and 12-string guitars into a single, easy-to-play instrument.

Yamaha APX-4A

The Yamaha APX-4A. Lightweight with a bright, crisp tone. It has an active pickup with a 3 band EQ with AMF (adjustable mid-range frequency).

DigiTech JamMan Stereo Looper

I use the JamMan Stereo looper to add depth and dynamics to select songs.

Full PA or Combo Amp

I provide a full PA for larger venues and also have smaller combo amps for use in more intimate settings when appropriate.

Stage Lighting

Based on the needs of the event or venue, I can also provide stage lighting to add an additional touch and focus.

I've been playing guitar since I was around 16 years old (you can just guess how many years that is...). I've played in five separate bands that span over four decades of rock and roll. From the 70's hard rock, early 80's pop and on to the late 80's heavy metal and hair bands, I've enjoyed playing in every one!
